I did forget to mention that I am at home for the next week and a half or so (as my wife Anna gave birth to our new son) and would like to let you all know that you can feel free to call me at home if you have any questions (i.e. further questions stemming from my pre-application). I hope you all have a great day!!

Thank you for making me feel welcome here. I have applied with SHPS to become one of the team. I have also applied at SPARS recently and if accepted into both I will have to make a decision on where to join. The thing I like most about your organization is that it seems very family oriented and friendly. One thing I have also noticed is that you seem to be more oriented toward using scientific method in your investigations. I am trying not to be biased, but I have never had contact with someone who claimed to be a psychic, etc. and therefore I am very hesitant about that issue. I am up for learning more on that side, but as I am not psychic I don't think I will ever fully understand or believe in it. Any comments or advice in this area? I love to do research if there are any sites that I should explore on the issue, or books I should buy. I wish there was a book on paranormal investigation methods lol! Maybe I could write a manual as I go through training myself one day lol! Anyway thank you all for the welcome and the congrats. Talk to you all again soon.

Hello again Arin, Very Happy
Just to let you know, we do not enter any evidence that may have come from a psychic reading into our final assessment of a case. At this time, we do not have anyone with psychic abilities on our team. However, we are certainly not opposed to having a psychic on the team but we do try to base our evidence on scientific data and logical conclusions.

On the other hand, you are in luck! There are several publications that I would recommend to you if you are seriously considering learning more about paranormal investigation or the paranormal in general. I have posted a few links below of some highly recommended research material. I would also encourage you to check out the articles page on our website. There you can find many interesting articles about the paranormal realm!

http://www.amazon.com/Encyclopedia-Ghosts-Spirits-Rosemary-Guiley/dp/0816040869

These are just a few publications that you may find very educating. There are many more available that highlight many different viewpoints. One thing you will find as a paranormal investigator is that most investigative teams will differ as far as techniques and methods go. I would advise you to research all aspects, techniques and methods because All can give you valuable knowledge.

I hope this helps you out and I look forward to meeting you soon!

Hello

My name is Connie. I believe that there are unexplained happenings that surrounds us and contacts us, but we sometimes don't feel or see it. I also know that we all are gifted with the psychic ability to a point...but how far we go with it is up to us. Some people are scared to touch the unknown and hold back. While others pursue it. I hope we all can learn from our experiences as well as others.

Thank You
